The comedian

Prolific children's author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.

A representative for the company commented: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the decision was made after an inquiry regarding allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards women.

The company declined to specify the motivations for this action, stating: "We do not comment on internal matters."

A Highly Successful Publishing History

Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies globally in 55 languages.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.

A number of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.

He has published over four dozen titles altogether, encompassing a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.

Television and Literature

His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was awarded an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.

This development follows the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
