Plane Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Land in UK Due to Crack in Cockpit Window
An aircraft ferrying Pete Hegseth was required to make an emergency landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday after a crack was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, per an official announcement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.
"The aircraft touched down in accordance with standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, among them Defense Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," a press officer stated in a online announcement.
The secretary was coming back from a short visit to the city of Brussels when the incident occurred.
This event does not mark the first occasion that a US military aircraft carrying a high-ranking official has experienced mechanical issues.
Months ago, a American military jet carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was forced to head back to the US capital after experiencing a mechanical problem.
